Business banking

Business checking bonus checklist.

Business account bonuses can be strong, but they often require more documents and more careful cash management than personal checking offers.

1. Entity Documents

Have legal business name, EIN or tax ID, owner information, formation documents, operating agreement, and business address ready before applying.

2. Balance Requirement

Business offers often use average ledger balance or minimum daily balance. Confirm how the bank measures the balance and how long funds must remain.

3. Qualifying Transactions

Debit card purchases, bill payments, ACH credits, merchant deposits, wires, and mobile deposits may be treated differently. Read the exact transaction list.

4. Monthly Fees

Business accounts may have maintenance fees, transaction limits, cash deposit limits, wire fees, and add-on service charges. Model those costs before chasing the bonus.

5. Operations Fit

A bonus is not worth breaking your accounting workflow. Consider integrations, user permissions, check needs, branch access, and export tools.
