Qualification requirements
Open an approved Bellco checking account online or at a branch by August 31, 2026, then receive at least one recurring payroll, pension, Social Security, or other qualifying government-benefit direct deposit of $500 or more within 60 days. Multiple deposits cannot be combined to reach $500. Bellco says the bonus is deposited within 90 days after the requirement is met if the account is in good standing.
Fees and costs
Bellco lists Boost, Free, and Student Checking with no monthly maintenance fee. Platinum Checking lists a $12 monthly fee waived with $15,000 in combined deposit and loan balances. The current fee disclosure also lists possible overdraft, insufficient-funds, paper-statement, stop-payment, and other service fees.
Availability
Bellco membership and account approval are required. Bellco lists eligibility through qualifying Colorado counties, an eligible family member, a Select Employee Group, or Bellco Foundation membership for interested applicants outside Colorado. Bellco says accounts can be opened online or at a branch and that deposits are federally insured by NCUA.
