Fees and costs
Regions lists an $8 monthly fee with online statements or $11 with paper statements when waiver requirements are not met. The May 2026 quick guide also lists a $36 paid overdraft item fee, limited to three per day and not charged when the end-of-day overdrawn balance is $5 or less, a $0 overdraft-protection transfer fee, a $3 non-Regions ATM fee, and optional statement-image and other service fees.
Availability
Regions currently offers online opening subject to ZIP and approval, and its locator shows branches in AL, AR, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MO, MS, NC, SC, TN, and TX. Applicants generally need a $25 minimum opening deposit, Social Security number or taxpayer identification number, birth date, personal identification, and any additional identification requested by the bank.
