Qualification requirements

Stash says users must sign up, complete registration, open a Personal Portfolio, and choose investments. To begin investing on Stash, clients must be approved from an account-verification perspective and open a brokerage account.

Fees and costs

Stash's current official pricing surfaces show different plan framing: the subscription FAQ lists Starter at $3 per month and Stash+ at $12 per month, while the pricing page highlights a $12 per month Stash Plan. Stash says subscription plans and pricing are subject to change, and users also bear ETF expenses plus fees for ancillary services charged by Stash and the custodian. Banking, crypto, transfer, and other product-specific fees can apply outside the subscription fee.

Availability

Advisory products and services are offered through Stash Investments LLC. Stash Capital LLC is listed as an SEC registered broker-dealer and member FINRA/SIPC, while Apex Clearing Corporation provides clearing and custody services. Banking services are separate and are provided by Stride Bank, N.A., Member FDIC.

What to verify

  • All investments are subject to risk and may lose value.
  • Subscription fees and ETF expenses can reduce investment returns.
  • Investment products and services are not FDIC insured, not bank guaranteed, and may lose value.
  • SIPC coverage does not protect against market-value loss.
  • Uninvested brokerage cash may follow a separate Apex sweep-program protection boundary.
